ADMINISTRATOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Board encourages the administrators to continue their professional growth by becoming involved in professional organizations, attending conferences, continuing their education, and participating in other professional activities.
It shall be the responsibility of the administrators to arrange their schedules in order to attend various conferences and events in which they are involved. Prior to attendance at an event, the administrator must receive approval from the superintendent.
Principals and their assistants are encouraged to attend the national conference of their choice with the approval of the superintendent every other year. Upon returning from the conference, he/she is required to submit a written or oral report to the Administrative Cabinet.
All administrators are encouraged to attend the State School Administrators of Iowa Conference.
All reasonable and relevant costs will be paid by the District upon submission of proper verification of the costs.
