905.2 Smoke-Free Environment

TOBACCO-FREE/NICOTINE-FREE ENVIRONMENT

School district facilities, including school vehicles, shall be off limits for tobacco use, including tobacco-like products and the use of nicotine products that are not FDA(Food and Drug Administration)approved for tobacco cessation. (Examples include but are not limited to cigarettes, electronic smoking devices, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, pipes, snus, etc.)  This requirement extends to employees and visitors.  This policy applies at all times, including school-sponsored and nonschool-sponsored events.  Persons failing to abide by this request shall be required to extinguish their smoking material, dispose of the tobacco/nicotine product or leave the school district premises immediately.  It shall be the responsibility of the administration to enforce this policy.
